FAQ
What inspired you to create this blog?
I have loved the ocean for as long as I can remember and particularly I have fancied jellyfish ever since studying them in Costa Rica for an Ecology class. I think my main inspiration for this blog was for my best friend who loves the ocean like I do, but moved back to the desert where she was originally from. She felt too far from the ocean.
I submitted a photo, but you didn’t post it. Why didn’t you post it?
UPDATE 09/27/2010: Formatting submissions takes a long time. I am about to begin my last quarters of college and sometimes I must focus on that and not the sealust blog. Photos will be posted when I have formatted them correctly, which means whenever I have the time! <3

If I didn’t post a photo that was submitted, it is because it didn’t meet the requirements. Photos should have a click-through link providing credit to the original source of the image. Images with links to larger versions of the image/tumblr pages aren’t acceptable. Let’s give credit where it’s due! If you took the photo yourself, let me know, then I will credit your tumblr for you. It is also preferable that photos be at least 500 pixels in width, but not necessary. Please stay true to the essence of the blog!
If you still think you submitted a photo correctly, and it wasn’t posted on Submission Sunday, please try submitting again, an error may have occurred (error meaning I may have deleted it on accident from the submission queue).
how do I add sealust to the directory?
If you click the link on our blog link that says “add us to the directory” it will take you to a category page. The “Nature” category should be selected, then scroll towards the bottom and check the box confirming sealust is a blog about nature. Hit the “recommend” button below and you’ve completed adding us to the directory!
did you take all of these photos? they are so beautiful!
No, only a few of the photos posted were taken by me. Most come from a wide variety of sources and inspirations of mine. To see credit for each photo, click the photo to follow the click-through link. :)
I love your blog, will you follow and recommend me please?
Not unless you have a sea related blog. Sorry but we don’t follow people just because you asked us to. We like to keep our blog focused so we don’t follow many people to keep our dashboard clear. Thanks for following us though!
what is the photo that you use as your avatar/profile pic?
“Zeeland”. By Jakob Wagner on the Behance network.
where do you live?
I live in Seattle, Washington. I have my entire life. The Puget Sound is what I live closest too, it isn’t technically the ocean, but it is ocean water. I live about 3-4 hours away from the Washington coast line to get to the real beaches and the Pacific Ocean. I also love to travel to places that have shorelines.
